Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 32

Following last year's successful formula, the Intercontinental Championship will once again be defended in a massive ladder match at WrestleMania 32, as announced on the latest Monday Night Raw. However, the events leading up to this encounter were quite peculiar.

Although Kevin Owens had feuded with several wrestlers in recent weeks, he still did not have a defined challenger for what he calls "KOMania". For this reason, he issued a challenge on the night of March 21 during the red show, to which his three main rivals of the moment responded: Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, and Sami Zayn.

Due to the large number of candidates to be his next challenger, Owens asked Stephanie McMahon for permission to organize a triple threat match to determine his rival at WrestleMania. However, the audience was surprised by the Canadian's tricks, as the participants in this triple threat turned out to be Stardust, Sin Cara, and Zack Ryder.

Ziggler, Zayn, and The Miz arrived upset to confront the champion and their discussion mixed with what was happening in the ring, which is why the match ended without a result and all six wrestlers attacked Kevin Owens together. Reclaming to Stephanie again was not a wise decision for K.O., as the McMahon heiress let herself be carried away by her bad mood and ordered the mentioned stipulation.

Now, Kevin Owens will defend the Intercontinental Championship in a ladder match against six challengers: Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Sami Zayn, Stardust, Sin Cara, and Zack Ryder.

And although the stipulation is not surprising, some of the names participating are, as although Ziggler, Zayn, and The Miz were already considered part of the plans, the other three wrestlers emerged out of nowhere and seem to be last-minute replacements for Neville, who will miss WrestleMania due to injury, and The Big Show, who will participate in the battle royal in memory of André the Giant.
