WWE Confirms Stan Hansen as Inductee into the 2016 Hall of Fame Class

After information emerged revealing his induction several weeks ago, WWE has finally confirmed that Stan Hansen will be part of the Hall of Fame Class of 2016.

The news was first reported by Yahoo Sports Japan, and it is not surprising, as it was precisely in that country where he achieved the greatest achievements of his career, both in New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling. In the latter, he captured all the available championships for his weight category, including the Triple Crown Championship on 4 occasions, in addition to multiple tournament victories and tag team championships alongside other legends such as Ted DiBiase, Bruiser Brody, and Genichiro Tenryu.

Hansen's participation in WWE was short, however, he also stood out in the American circuit in NWA and WCW.

With this, Stan Hansen completes the group of wrestlers who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on the night before WrestleMania 32, along with Sting, The Godfather, The Fabulous Freebirds, Jacqueline, and The Big Boss Man. Meanwhile, there is still no information about the possible induction of a celebrity, although the name Snoop Dogg had been rumored.
