The super bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Alicia Ashley, was recognized by the "Young Great African-American Entrepreneurs" community (YGB) in the category of sports, health, and wellness in 2016 in Brooklyn.

Carl O. Gray, founder of YGB, welcomed the honorees and their guests to the awards dinner. He spoke about the need to constantly seek success and how the honorees exemplify this pursuit in their daily lives.
