West Bromwich Albion welcome Sheffield United to The Hawthorns tonight for the first round of the EFL Cup.
Albion have taken two points from their first two games in the Championship and dominated Watford on Monday night without getting all three points.
The Blades, meanwhile, were turned over by Watford on the opening weekend of the season, but they got their season up and running with a comfortable win over Millwall at the weekend.
Baggies boss Steve Bruce is expected to ring the changes tonight to help cope with the intense schedule that lies before Albion, and Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom is expected to do similar.
Joe Chapman is at The Hawthorns on a sweltering evening - come and join him as he keeps you updated on the latest action and build up following the final whistle.
FULL TIME
Albion progress into the second round, and set up a trip to Derby! They're off the mark in terms of wins in the new season, too. Reaction to follow!
Problem
Grant has only been on a little over ten minutes but he's coming off here. Landed heavily when challenging for a header and is in some discomfort.
Tom Fellows is also on for Callum Robinson.
Cross-bar x 2!
Robinson loops a deflected shot onto the woodwork and then Phillips smashes volley also onto the bar from distance in the space of three seconds. That was the game.
GOOOOOOAAAAL
Excellent goal, Albion finally have the breakthrough! They deserve it. It's Grant's second goal of the season, and it's another combination of Grant and Robinson which was so popular last year!
TGH crossed low and Grant actually skewed his first attempt but Robinson chased it over on the left. He returned the ball and this time Grant made no mistake with a bullet header.
1-0!
Substitution
As was maybe anticipated, Okay gets an hour and makes way for Molumby.
That was top class from the big Turkish midfielder.
Reminder
Albion have been on top since the first 10-15 minutes, but they nearly got caught out on the counter there.
From the resulting corner Brewster broke and he and Khadra had Albion 2 v 2. Khadra, with Ashworth for company, shot low and Palmer parried. He then hammered the rebound just wide of the far post.
Let off.
Good effort
Brilliant from Yokuslu to win the ball high and feed Robinson. Smart save from Foderingham. Corner.
"Do you hate Villa, Brucey?"
The Albion boss is being serenaded by some in the Smethwick at the start of the second half. He's obliged and given them a wave after their request.
HALF TIME
That's your lot for the first 45. Albion have been the better side, have unquestionably had the better chances and, quite frankly, should be heading down the tunnel ahead.
Ashworth has been comfortable at left-back, Cleary has had his moments although he's drifted in and out of the game. Yokuslu is different gravy.
And another
Albion knocking on the door before half time.
Robinson carries the ball forward and finds TGH, who has space to bound into on the right. He carries it to the by-line and his low cross isn't turned home by anyone - Mowatt tries to at the back stick and knocks it wide.
Another chance!
This is turning into a reflection of Monday night - all these chances yet no goals.
Yokuslu wins the ball back as Sheffield United attempt to break out of their defensive third and Mowatt does well to nip in and glance past a few players. The ball then rolls into Reach's path. He's one on one but fires straight at the keeper.
Albion's delivery has been poor
Goodness, it makes you appreciate Jed Wallace.
Phillips, Reach and TGH have been pretty wayward with their crosses into the box from either side. Ashworth's pull back for Mowatt earlier was the only successful cross I can remember.
Opportunity
Chance! The best opportunity for Albion thus far. Cleary is in on goal after a lofted ball from TGH but he needs to show more composure. Instead he shoots right into Foderingham's torso.
Drinks break
We're halfway through the half and that calls for drinks.
It's been pretty lowkey so far, to be expected I suppose. There have been little bits and bobs of Cleary's performance thus far to quite like, but the supply from Phillips and Reach has to be better.
Sheffield United did want a penalty minutes ago after Palmer pushed out a cross into the box and Yokuslu (I think it was) used his body to block off the onrushing red and white shirt.
The ref waved it away.
