About the Alvarado Dynasty

Talking about the Alvarado Dynasty implies recognizing the career of Jesus Alvarado Nieves, better known as Brazo de Oro, as he was the first to set the trend of Los Brazos in Mexican professional wrestling, and he established an era in trios wrestling.

However, his early years as a masked wrestler were surrounded by a legal dispute that almost cost him his career.

From a young age, Jesus started training in professional wrestling under the guidance of Felipe Ham Lee, despite his father, Shadito Cruz, opposing to see his son practice this sport. But with the help of his teacher, the eldest of the Alvarados received his father's permission to debut in the wrestling ring, under the condition that he would do it with one of his old characters: El Hombre del Brazo de Oro.

This name was inspired by the 1955 film starring Frank Sinatra, Eleanor Parker, and Darren McGavin.

José Díaz Mendoza, also known as Villano II, helped create the new mask design for Álvaro, although he would keep the golden sleeve from his father's outfit. Now, the new mask would have the shape of a muscular man that functions as a full-face mask.

Thanks to his natural talent in the ring, and the promotional help of the Valero Meré brothers (Héctor and José Luis), El Hombre del Brazo de Oro started gaining popularity in small local arenas.

Despite this, his rise was almost hindered by a misunderstanding. During a match, Mil Máscara asked Hombre del Brazo de Oro to change the design of his mask because it was similar to one of his many disguises.

It didn't take long for Mr. Personalidad to take legal actions against Alvarado, but with the assistance of Francisco Flores, one of the programmers at Toreo de Cuatro Caminos, he changed the design of the mask and modified the name to make it shorter.

Thus, Jesus became the famous Brazo de Oro. This helped him become one of the most beloved wrestlers. As time went by, his brothers joined him to form the trio known as Los Brazos, also known as the Mosqueteros de Diablo, to create great moments in the 80s and 90s. The rest is history.
