Kentucky made history in the draft: no one produced three nº1s.

It is the first university to achieve it since 1966 (John Wall, Anthony Davis, and Towns) and the second one to have four players in the Top-14.

University of Kentucky's Great Season

The great season signed by the University of Kentucky (despite losing the dream of having a perfect season) has been rewarded in the draft. Six out of the seven players that declared for the draft have been chosen by various NBA franchises, tying a record that is shared with three other NCAA teams. Four of them were selected among the top 14 picks (also known as lottery picks). This equals the performance of the University of North Carolina in 2005 (Marvin Williams, Raymond Felton, Sean May, and Rasha McCants) as the colleges with the most players in the top picks in the same year.

Moreover, with the selection of Karl-Anthony Towns by the Wolves, the Wildcats are the first university to have three number one picks (John Wall, Anthony Davis, and Towns) since the elimination of territorial picks in 1966. What's more, this year 13 freshmen have been selected: something that has never happened before.

Here are the six 'Wildcats' chosen in the draft:

1. Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves)

6. Willie Cauley-Stein (Sacramento Kings)

12. Trey Lyles (Utah Jazz)

13. Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns)

44. Andrew Harrison (Phoenix Suns)

48. Dakari Johnson (Oklahoma City Thunder)
