After the 1-3 defeat and elimination against Peru, Mauricio Soria spoke about the course of the match and the future that Bolivia should have at the club and national team level.

Tactical system change:

"We did it thinking about the opponent's style of play. We wanted to pay attention to the two tall players that Peru had in the attack."

Bolivia lost their order quickly:

"We had an intention, which we lost in the first half with the two goals they scored against us. Despite that, in the second half we showed that the team played with order."

Controversial penalty that wasn't called:

"The referee didn't call a legitimate penalty where he should have expelled the goalkeeper, and things would have changed."

Feelings about the final result:

"This result reflects the opportunities that the Peruvians took advantage of. They capitalized on their chances when they had them."

Things to improve in Bolivia:

"We have to come together as a country, improve the tactical culture through what the coaches do in their clubs. And try to improve physically.

"We need better infrastructure so that players can get good results in the national team."
