Valentina Shevchenko Prepared to Defend her Title at UFC 266

Valentina Shevchenko, the UFC flyweight champion, is more than ready to defend her title against American Lauren Murphy tonight at UFC 266.

The martial artist born in Kyrgyzstan, but naturalized Peruvian, gave a final interview to Star+ before her fight. However, she was surprised by the reporter when asked about her favorite food.

Far from keeping her culinary tastes to herself, Valentina filled thousands of Peruvians with pride by listing a variety of national dishes and desserts. "Number one ceviche, then seafood chicharrón, shrimp soup, and seafood rice. There's also lomo saltado, tres leches cake, lucuma ice cream, and suspiro limeño," she said.

Similarly, Valentina Shevchenko confessed that she is anxious to enter the octagon once again, but made it clear that she is not nervous about defending her world championship.

"I get more nervous when my sister (Antonina) is fighting because in action, you don't have moments to think and you just have to work hard in different moments. When I see her fight, I can't do anything, just sit and wait," Bullet added.
