Ricardo Gareca knows he can make history this Thursday against Bolivia - qualifying for the Copa America semi-finals for the second consecutive time - and that's why he will field Claudio Pizarro, Paolo Guerrero, and Jefferson Farfan together from the first minute.
Jefferson Farfan has recovered from an allergic reaction and will start as a right midfielder.
Initially, his inclusion would have forced Pizarro to be left out, according to Gareca's own words, but the coach wants to pressure Bolivia and would maintain the attacking duo with the two center forwards.
The other surprise would be the replacement of the suspended Ballon. Yoshimar Yotun and Edwin Retamoso, former midfielder of Cobreloa, are competing for a place in the midfield.
The most probable lineup for Peru against Bolivia would be Gallese; Advincula, Zambrano, Ascues, and Vargas; Yotun (Retamoso), Sanchez, Farfan, and Cueva; Pizarro and Guerrero.
