Robert Whittaker defeats Darren Till at UFC Fight Island 3

Australian fighter Robert Whittaker defeated English fighter Darren Till in the main event of UFC Fight Island 3 in Abu Dhabi.

After five rounds, the fight was decided by the judges' scorecards, who declared the Australian as the winner. Whittaker showed slight superiority over his opponent starting from the second round.

This victory marks Whittaker's return to winning ways after losing his title to Nigerian fighter Israel Adesanya at UFC 243 in Melbourne, Australia, in October 2019.

Darren Till, who made his return to middleweight with a win over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 244 in November 2019, suffered his third defeat in his last four appearances in the octagon.
