With the world of mixed martial arts still stunned by Holly Holm's incredible victory over Ronda Rousey, it remains to be seen what's next for the new UFC bantamweight champion. Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson has an idea of what he would like to see.

"In my personal opinion, I would like to see Ronda Rousey fight maybe Amanda Nunes. I mean, everyone is trying to make the big money, but as a martial artist, I would like to see her fight Amanda Nunes. And I don't want to see Holly on ice. I would like to see Holly maybe with Miesha Tate. Yes, Miesha Tate would be good. That way things keep moving forward.

"You don't have to put things on hold. Holly Holm is hot merchandise right now. Let's keep her moving. I think she would like to have a fight there too. But again, everyone is about money, so we'll see what happens."

Johnson's opinion is simple. Sure, UFC could cash in on an immediate rematch between Holm (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) and Rousey (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC). But Johnson believes Rousey's current game is not suitable for another fight with Holm and he spoke of recent history in the 135-pound division as an example of what can go wrong.

"Holly Holm has been fighting her whole life. Ronda has basically been doing movies and doing other things. It's like T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao. Renan Barao fights, and he's been a successful fighter until he met someone who has footwork, who is faster, who is as athletic as him. That's what happened to Ronda Rousey when she fought Holly Holm. She's athletic, she has a great footwork.

"To develop footwork that way, you can't take a six-month break to try to develop footwork. Holly Holm has been fighting her whole life."
