Tyson Fury stepped into Madison Square Garden and conquered it. In the highly anticipated rematch against Deontay Wilder, the British fighter won the victory in the seventh round by technical knockout and thus became the WBC heavyweight champion.

Having gone through the first half of the fight, Tyson Fury's superiority in the actions and the physical wear and tear of Deontay Wilder became evident. While landing a series of punches in the third round, the referee had to stop the fight and ended up giving victory to the boxer born in Manchester.

Beyond winning the WBC heavyweight title, Tyson Fury achieved something even more important: he ended Deontay Wilder's undefeated record as a professional. The American fighter had 42 victories before this fight, although his record was tarnished by the draw between them over a year ago.

This will be the second fight between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury throughout their careers. They had a memorable battle in December 2018, which ended in a technical draw. Still, boxing fans have good memories of that matchup and that's why there is a lot of excitement for this rematch.

An important detail to consider is that both fighters have not lost so far in their careers. American Deontay Wilder has accumulated 41 victories, while Englishman Tyson Fury has 29.
