The University of Notre Dame, located in Indiana, is one of the most recognized institutions in the United States, both academically and athletically, their teams are known as "Fighting Irish," highlighting the success of their American Football team, which has been ranked as the best in the nation eleven different times, and has been the origin of some of the most recognized professional football players, such as Joe Montana
The term "Fighting Irish" originated with Irish immigrants who fought on the Union side during the American Civil War. The chaplain of this Irish brigade was one of the early presidents of the university, which since then has become one of the symbols of Irish culture in America
Being of Irish origin, and with the WWE cast in Indiana (the next Smackdown recordings will be in Indianapolis), it was a great opportunity for the wrestler to pay a courtesy visit to this institution, where he also delivered a WWE belt personalized with the University's logos, as shown in this video, shared on the official sports team channel:
