Carlos Cuadras and Pedro Guevara to Defend Titles in Japan

Carlos Cuadras and Pedro Guevara are two Mexicans who will defend their super flyweight and minimum flyweight titles in Japan.

However, there is another brave Mexican (from Guadalajara) who will travel to that country to obtain a title. She is already a champion, but aspires to have one more belt in her collection and for that she will go to the champion's home. We are talking about Nancy "Chatita" Franco, strawweight champion by the International Boxing Federation, who will fight for the belt of the same weight but from the World Boxing Council in December.

Mexican Nancy "Chatita" Franco (14-6-2, 4 KOs), will travel to Japan to face the minimum champion of the World Boxing Council, Yuko Kuroki (14-4-1, 7 KOs), on December 20 at the Kyuden Gymnasium in the city of Fukuoka.

Kuroki is coming off a knockout victory over Thai Kanittha Saknarong in August, in just 4 rounds. On the other hand, the Mexican Franco comes to this fight after defeating Victoria Argueta in a great fight.

This will be Nancy's second trip to Japan. In 2013, she defeated Kayoko Ebata at the historic Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

Stiverne goes down the path of victory and wants to reclaim the CMB heavyweight belt

Former WBC heavyweight world champion, Bermane Stiverne, recovered from a first round knockdown to defeat American Derric Rossy by unanimous decision, this Saturday in one of the main fights of a card that took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Stiverne returned to the ring after his defeat in January against Deontay Wilder but got a scare in the opening moments of the fight when he was hit hard by a right hand thrown by Rossy. Stiverne managed to get back on his feet, and as the rounds went by, he took control of the fight, landing the more powerful punches, until he achieved a unanimous decision victory with scores of 96-93, 96-93, and 95-94. With this result, Stiverne improved his record to 25-2-1, with 21 knockouts, while Rossy fell to 30-11, with 14 knockouts.
