The Israeli Dudi Sela
Coming from the previous phase, Dudi Sela achieved his fourth consecutive victory in Nottingham (England) on Monday by defeating the Valencian Daniel Gimeno-Traver, 7-5 and 6-4, in his first appearance in the main draw.
Sela, 30 years old and ranked number 85 in the ATP, took one hour and 21 minutes to beat the Spanish player in an unprecedented match on the professional circuit.
The loss of three out of the eleven games played on his serve became an insurmountable burden for Gimeno-Traver, who has lost his last two matches on grass.
A week ago at the Den Bosch tournament (Netherlands), his compatriot Fernando Verdasco denied him the pass to the second round.
Sela will try to take advantage of his experience - he had to defeat the Swiss Adrien Bossel, the German Daniel Brands, and the Czech Lukas Lacko to reach the main draw - against the Uruguayan Pablo.
