Canelo Álvarez vs. Kovalev: Who is the favorite in the betting houses to win the light heavyweight title? [PHOTOS]

This Saturday 'Canelo' Álvarez returns to a boxing ring to face Russian Sergey Kovalev. And the venue that will have the privilege of hosting this tremendous fight will be the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

And who is the favorite in the betting houses? Without a doubt, it is the Mexican 'Canelo' Álvarez. The vast majority are paying around 1.21 soles for the Mexican, while the Russian pays between 3.90 and 4.15.

This is surprising because Canelo will be fighting in a different weight division than his own. He usually fights in middleweight, but this time he will move up two weight classes for the first time: up to light heavyweight, where the Russian excels.

In fact, Kovalev is the current champion of this division in the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and his title will be at stake in the fight against Canelo. The Mexican wants to add more belts to his resume.
