WWE: company congratulated AEW after their surprising television debut [PHOTOS]

Historically, AEW aired their first television program on TNT for the United States. And with that, the 'Wednesday night war' against WWE began, as they will compete against the company's third brand, NXT.

After the broadcast of both programs, WWE issued a press release, congratulating All Elite Wrestling on their premiere. Additionally, they mention that the biggest winners will be the wrestling fans.

"Congratulations to All Elite Wrestling on their successful debut. The true winners of the simultaneous broadcasts of NXT on USA Network and AEW on TNT are the fans. They can expect Wednesday nights to become a competitive and wild race, as this is a marathon."

It should be noted that AEW led the ratings with an average of 1.4 million viewers, while NXT recorded 891,000. Furthermore, the report from ShowBuzz Daily indicated that Cody Rhodes' company won in the demographic range of 18 to 49 years old, achieving a 0.68 rating, more than double that of WWE's brand.
