Before Monday Night Raw starts, Kane or Glenn Jacobs, mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, defeated R-Truth and became the 24/7 champion. He made history as the first mayor to hold that title.
However, R-Truth wasn't going to let things end that way. What did he do? He followed Kane, who was in his limousine, and lay on top of the vehicle. He waited for Kane to come out and be distracted, then rolled him up and regained the belt.
Kane got angry and was going to give him his famous claw. But R-Truth convinced him not to take away the 24/7 title because he was going to work twice as hard: in running the city and protecting the belt. Kane realized it would be very difficult to do both things at the same time and gave in.
This week's Monday Night Raw is taking place at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is being held after what happened at Clash of Champions when Seth Rollins was attacked by 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt at the end of the show.
