David Ospina always goes straight to the point. That's how his statements are, short and clear. It was no exception at the press conference before the game of Colombia against Peru in which he praised the game of the next opponent and when asked, he spoke again about the schedule of the matches of Group C.
The goalkeeper has started in the previous games against Venezuela and Brazil, in which he had outstanding interventions, especially against the latter in which he saved Colombia from the Brazilians' tie. These were his statements.
Peru: "They have very experienced players, who are leading this Peruvian team in the best way, they have a new coach and we hope to do things well to have a good game and get a positive result."
"We have already faced them, we know they are tough players, with good long shots, they have been showing very positive things and what we have to do is do our job well and that's what will give us results."
Schedule: "As things are going, it would be logical for the two matches to be played at the same time. We are all playing important things and for the sake of Fair Play, they should be at the same time."
Possibility of qualification: "We always think about winning. We know that each game is a new story, we face it as a final. We are aware of taking it step by step and now we have this great opportunity to do things well and take advantage of each situation that presents itself to us."
Carlos Bacca's suspension: "To say whether it is fair or not, is to stay debating, it is a decision that has been made and now we have to focus on the game, we know the importance of Bacca but we have good forwards. Now we have to focus on Peru."
Neymar's suspension: "These are decisions that are made in such short tournaments and it is difficult to face them. They are decisions that are made and must be respected."
Youthful team: "We respect Peru although we know that we are a young but experienced team. We have players in the best leagues, best teams and that has given us the experience to face these games."
