In the main fight of SmackDown Live in Toronto, The New Day - a group composed of Xavier Woods, Big E, and WWE champion Kofi Kingston - faced off against The Revival and Randy Orton. However, they couldn't win.
Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson took advantage of Woods being alone and applied the 'double team' on him, then winning by a count of three. The two members of The Revival were leaving until they saw Big E in the ring helping his friend, so they decided to attack him.
Seconds later, Kofi Kingston appeared to save his friends from Wilder and Dawson's attacks. He did so until Randy Orton hit him with an RKO. Then, the 'viper' did another RKO to Xavier Woods.
And with the help of The Revival, he also did an RKO to Big E. It seemed like everything was over, but Orton wanted to apply his favorite technique to Kofi again. This way, he avenged what happened at SummerSlam.
