At Extreme Rules, champion Seth Rollins and champion Becky Lynch defeated Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans. However, after the match, Brock Lesnar appeared, cashed in his briefcase, and took the universal title from the 'architect'. He didn't just stand by and in SummerSlam 2019, finally, he was able to regain his belt.
Rollins and Lesnar faced each other in the main event of the biggest wrestling summer event. It was a confrontation that pleased the Canadian audience. But how did the former member of The Shield manage to prevail against the 'beast incarnate'?
The answer lies in the final minutes. Seth managed to put Lesnar on the commentators' table and then jumped from the top rope with a splash. The referee started the count of ten, so they both did everything possible to get back into the ring.
The 'beast incarnate' arrived first, but Seth climbed to the top rope and delivered another splash. Then, he stomped on him. He attempted a three-count, but was unsuccessful. The 'architect' tried another stomp, but Lesnar intercepted him and tried to execute an F5; however, Seth freed himself, kicked him in the jaw, and then stomped on him again. This time it was definitive. Rollins took the victory.
