British boxer Amir Khan revealed on Tuesday that he has reached an agreement to face Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao on November 8th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
British boxer Khan defeated Australian boxer Billy Dib this month to win the Welterweight World Championship title from the World Boxing Council (WBC). Meanwhile, Pacquiao, 40 years old, will be fighting against American boxer Keith Thurman in Las Vegas this Saturday.
Khan said that he believes the fight will happen even if Manny Pacquiao loses this weekend. "If he gets injured or loses, what happens? I believe that even if he loses, it's a very big fight for the Middle East, it's been talked about for many years," said the British boxer, as quoted by The Guardian.
As you may remember, Khan was supposed to fight against Manny Pacquiao, an eight-division world champion, in the United Arab Emirates in 2017, but the agreement failed.
It's worth noting that Manny Pacquiao has a record of 61 wins, seven losses, and two draws in a professional career of 24 years. Meanwhile, Khan has 34 wins and five losses.
