Nick Newell is one of the most admired MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighters in the world, as despite not having most of his left arm, he currently has a professional record of 14 wins and 2 losses.
Unfortunately, Nick Newell lost his chance to get a contract with the UFC, the world's most important promoter, last Tuesday. This, after losing by unanimous decision to Alex Munoz in the reality show Dana White's Contender Series.
Despite the great aggressiveness he showed in the octagon, Nick Newell was taken down several times and severely punished on the ground and pound by Munoz.
"I just want to fight in the UFC. All I asked for was an opportunity and I couldn't take advantage of it. But I know I can and I have to prove it. I'm better than what I showed, I just have to work, improve and get better," said Newell after his defeat.
This is the second loss that Nick Newell has suffered in his career. The first was in the World Series Of Fighting (WSOF) company, against Justin Gaethje, now a UFC fighter.
