Dunga was sober and resolute in front of the press regarding the punishment that CONMEBOL has imposed on Neymar and that will prevent him from playing in the Copa America, unless the appeal succeeds. The Brazilian coach, in the first instance, referred to the severity of the sanction: "He is a very important figure in football and for him the punishments are also very important. Now we have to find solutions for the team without Neymar".
When asked if Neymar went too far in his behavior on the field, he defended his player: "There is no need to lament. Colombia played their game. Neymar was shown a yellow for a handball. Shouldn't they also show one for hitting? We haven't defined the team or the captain yet to play against Venezuela. We have one more training and we have options."
Finally, he threw a dart at Neymar about whether he would prefer to leave the concentration since he can't play anymore or stay supporting the team: "It will depend on what he wants to do. We need and want men who make decisions, even if they make mistakes, and not 'boys' who don't."
