Brock Lesnar announced his return to the cage last weekend at UFC 226. However, he failed to consider that he must meet two requirements for this.
The first requirement is the sanction with USADA, which does not allow him to step into the UFC cage until January 2019. This is due to his positive doping test against Mark Hunt.
However, even if months pass and he is eligible, he will not be able to face Daniel Cormier because he has a pending debt with the Nevada Athletic Commission: he must pay $250,000.
The money is part of the sanction that Brock Lesnar received for testing positive for two types of antiestrogen, a prohibited substance for high-performance sports competitions.
This entity has ruled that Brock Lesnar's decision victory over Hunt in July 2016 will be converted to a 'no contest'.
