Hace historia.
Ronda Rousey, who used to be the bantamweight champion of the UFC, was one of the first women in the company and became an icon in mixed martial arts, and a source of inspiration for some athletes. Last year, 'Rowdy' decided to retire from mixed martial arts with a record of 12 wins and 2 losses.
"I think together we built this, this division, this sport, this revolution. We have redefined what it means to be strong and sexy. We have changed what it means to 'fight like a girl'. I am not the first woman to have the ability to have done that, but I have been the first woman to capture attention on screen. I am the first woman to come up here and accept this incredible honor," said emotional Ronda Rousey.
At the ceremony, which took place in Vegas as part of the UFC's 'Fight Week', Bruce Connal, Art Davie, Matt Serra and Dan Henderson were also inducted, along with Mauricio "Shogun" Rua for their fight at UFC 139.
