In her first appearance at Money in the Bank, Alexa Bliss had to face a tough ladder match against seven opponents: Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Ember Moon, Lana, Naomi, Natalya, and Sasha Banks.
After a brutal 20-minute battle, Alexa Bliss managed to climb to the top of the ladder and retrieve the Money in the Bank briefcase. Thus, she won the coveted contract that would allow her to challenge the champion at any time.
The curious thing was that, against all odds, Alexa Bliss decided to cash in her Money in the Bank contract that same night: she appeared to interrupt the championship match between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey.
Alexa Bliss attacked both wrestlers with her Money in the Bank briefcase, leaving Ronda Rousey outside the ring. She then returned to punish Nia Jax and secure the victory, and the title, with a three-count.
