With a long history in the independent wrestling scene and a past in the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), a young wrestler hungry for success will return on Saturday, May 26 to the monumental Arena Mexico Diamante, ready to turn the Cathedral of Lucha Libre upside down at Dragonmania XIII.
Hailing from Monclova, Coahuila, Diamante joined the ranks of the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre at just 17 years old, where he was trained by Daniel López, El Satánico, who saw great potential in him and was not mistaken. He soon made his debut in the Consejo with good results, such as starring in the first lightning match alongside Rey Escorpión, which was rewarded with money.
Over time, he became the Occidente Complete Champion and the National Trio Champion. He also participated in the Gran Alternativa and Forjando un Ídolo tournaments. He was part of two editions of Fantasticamanía.
Later on, due to circumstances, he began a new stage in the independent wrestling scene where he has gradually earned his place in a much more competitive market.
It has been five years since Diamante, now 25 years old, last set foot in the Arena Mexico, and now he will return at the Dragonmania XIII event.
"I am very happy to return to what I consider my home. I spent a lot of time training and wrestling there since I arrived in Mexico at the age of 17. It was always my dream to perform in the Cathedral of Lucha Libre and I achieved it. Now, I am returning much more mature, focused, and with a very positive mindset to an important event like Dragonmania. I will also be in a superstar match teaming up with Atlantis and Volador Jr., and I will have Último Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, and Euforia as my opponents. I couldn't ask for more. There's a reason I will be in that match with so many stars," said Diamante.
Since his arrival at CMLL to the present day, Diamante's image has undergone several changes, and he has prepared another surprise for his return to the Arena Mexico: "As they say, renew or die. I have always liked to be an elegant wrestler, to take care of my image, and to leave a good impression on people. To be a wrestler, you have to look like one, and this Saturday, I will debut a new look that suits my taste, and I hope the fans accept it well.
Dragonmania XII will take place on Saturday, May 26 at the Arena Mexico and will feature international stars like the legendary Japanese wrestler Último Dragón, with whom Diamante has also had intense rivalries in Mexico and even in Japan, as in 2017 the wrestler from Coahuila faced the Japanese and Carístico at the mythical Korakuen Hall under the All Japan promotion.
