The 23-year-old Peruvian fighter spoke with El Comercio about his fight this Saturday in UFC Chile against Mexican Gabriel Benitez.

Humberto Bandenay, the Peruvian, affirmed that his fight this Saturday at UFC Chile against Mexican Gabriel 'Moggly' Benítez will not go to a decision. "I don't know in which round, but I will finish this fight," he told El Comercio.

"I respect my opponent, but I'm going to go out and look for the fight. I believe that my camp, my body, and my skills are enough to finish the fight," added the 23-year-old athlete, whose professional record is 14-4 with one no contest (NC).

Humberto Bandenay also mentioned that he is excited that Peruvian fans will be attending the event in Chile. "Peruvian talent exists and we will demonstrate it this Saturday," he stated.

He also pointed out that in the last few days he has had the opportunity to train lightly and is close to reaching the maximum weight for his division, 65.7 kg (145 pounds). "I feel good, strong. I haven't lost any stamina or endurance," he expressed.

Similarly, Humberto Bandenay emphasized that he is mentally prepared to fight against Benítez (20-6), who comes after an important victory over Jason Knight.

"I am very focused, but this fight is just another one. We shouldn't be afraid: we are all humans and we are well prepared. We are going to show that Peruvians have talent," he added.

Finally, Bandenay mentioned that he still remembers excitedly his auspicious debut at UFC with a stunning knockout against Martín Bravo, but he wants to keep advancing and focus on what's next in his career.

"The last fight was important because of everything that was happening, maybe that's why it marked me the most. But I want to leave it behind and show the new Humberto, more evolved and stronger," he concluded.

Humberto Bandenay will have Juan Manuel Dias, director of Pro Fighting Perú (PFP), and physical trainer Renzo Banchero in his corner this Saturday. The team will be completed by UFC fighter 'Chito' Vera or Jason House, the manager of the Peruvian.
