Tense Relationship between WWE Fans and Roman Reigns
The tense relationship between a large part of WWE fans and Roman Reigns has reached its limit. This was demonstrated last Sunday at Backlash, where cameras captured many of them leaving the arena before the 'Emperor' fought against Samoa Joe.
This reaction from the fans is understood as a protest against the excessive prominence that Roman Reigns receives from WWE creatives, both in main events and in the weekly shows of Raw.
Precisely on this week's Raw, just one day after Backlash, WWE also registered a drop in ratings in the last hour of the program. This means that the segment that included the fight between Roman Reigns and Finn Bálor and Sami Zayn.
According to the published figures, the first hour of the red show had an audience of 2,788,000 viewers, the second had 2,731,000 and the third had 2,549,000. This represents an 8.57% drop between the beginning and the end of the program.
And although Monday Night Raw was the most watched program on cable on Monday night in the United States, the rating that was recorded is the lowest that WWE has had since December 1, 2017 (2,684,000). Will Roman Reigns continue to be included in the main events?
