Did Brock Lesnar really retain the WWE title at the Greatest Royal Rumble?
Many fans replayed the last scene of the fight with Roman Reigns and their doubts increased. And amid so much controversy, the referee of the encounter decided to speak out on Twitter.
"I understand I made an incorrect decision and want to apologize. During the Universal Title match at the Greatest Royal Rumble, I saw Brock Lesnar go through the cage first and was concerned for the health and safety of both superstars," Chad Patton said on his Twitter account.
Despite this confession, the WWE has not declared the fight as null. Brock Lesnar remains the universal champion, but Roman Reigns could ask for a rematch.
This has been the third defense of Brock Lesnar. However, since winning it at WrestleMania 33, the WWE champion has not been very active.
On the other hand, Roman Reigns still can't focus on his claim. This Sunday, he will fight Samoa Joe at Backlash.
