Coutinho confident Brazil can cope without Neymar

Brazilian forward Philippe Coutinho said today that he and his teammates are "prepared" to replace the suspended Neymar in the Copa America. "Everyone is prepared, focused, we know it's a big match. We lost our main player, but everyone is focused to compensate for Neymar's absence in the next game," Coutinho said at a press conference. Coutinho also mentioned that Brazilian coach Dunga has not yet informed them who will take Neymar's place, as he has been provisionally suspended for one game.

The Liverpool player, the favorite to replace the Canarinha captain, said that Brazil needs to "overcome" Neymar's absence "to advance to the next stage" and expressed confidence that he will return to the team afterwards. Coutinho stated that he is available for Dunga and can play in a more advanced position, like Neymar, or in a slightly deeper role on the left wing, as he usually does at his club.
