UEFA Excludes Dynamo Moscow from European Competitions
The UEFA has excluded Dynamo Moscow from the European competitions for the 2015-2016 season for breaching financial fair play, as reported today by the Moscow club's press office.
The UEFA's decision was communicated today to Dynamo, which has qualified for the Europa League in the last four seasons.
According to the club's press release, the UEFA's sanction does not include financial penalties or restrictions on player signings and transfers.
"The decision (of the UEFA) is a hard blow for all of us: the fans, the players, the coaching staff, and the executives," stated Dynamo's press release.
The place of the Moscow club in the next edition of the Europa League will be taken by Rubin Kazan, which finished in fifth place in the previous season.
Dynamo was penalized for increasing the amount of an advertising contract and for the disproportionate wage bill of its players compared to the club's budgets.
