Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio is still one of the top stars in global wrestling at 43 years old. That's why it's no surprise that WWE and the world's top promoters want him in their main events.
After several years dedicated to the independent circuit, Rey Mysterio reappeared in WWE on January 28 at Royal Rumble. Since then, the company has tried to convince him to sign a full-time contract, but has not succeeded.
The real intention of Rey Mysterio is to have a part-time contract with WWE, which allows him to make appearances in different companies. That's why the creator of the '619' has only accepted to participate in the highly anticipated Greatest Royal Rumble, to be held on April 27 in Saudi Arabia.
And the true proof that Rey Mysterio will not stay in WWE full-time is a recent announcement by the Mexican promoter AAA on Twitter. They announced the presence of the acrobatic wrestler at the event Verano de Escándalo, to be held on June 3 in Monterrey.
"It's real! It's happening! Rey Mysterio at Verano de Escándalo," announced AAA, which last had Rey Mysterio at one of their events in October 2016 in Japan.
