Charlotte Flair, Asuka, and Ronda Rousey are some of the most important stars of the women's division and of the WWE, but even so, they cannot secure a place in the biggest Royal Rumble in history. All because of the host country's religious restrictions.
This was announced by specialized journalist David Bixenspan from Deadspin.com. Saudi Arabia does not allow women to participate in sporting events unless it is as spectators, a permission that was signed less than a year ago.
WWE prefers not to get involved with the host as their desire to enter Asia is stronger. That is why they have organized the Greatest Royal Rumble, a match that will feature 50 stars in the ring.
WWE has announced the participation of John Cena, Triple H, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, The New Day, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, and Shinsuke Nakamura. The Undertaker is also in the plans, but until now, it is not known what role he will have.
The WWE event will take place on April 27th at the King Abdullah Indoor Sports Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a capacity for 62,000 spectators.
