The relationship between Daniel Bryan and WWE has deteriorated greatly in recent months. This is because the company does not allow him to wrestle again as a precautionary measure, even though the former world champion already has permission from some doctors.
But not all would be bad news for Daniel Bryan. Apparently, WWE plans to include the SmackDown general manager in WrestleMania 34, the grand event that will take place on April 8th in New Orleans.
As explained by Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, this would be a good option for WWE to give some prominence to Daniel Bryan without the need for him to compete in a match.
"Daniel Bryan could end up as a referee at WrestleMania 34 based on everything we know so far. I mean, he is not banned from refereeing and he was a referee during a match in Chicago a couple of months ago. There are things he is allowed to do," he explained about WWE's plans.
In this way, a match between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 34 would be practically ruled out. Keep in mind that the contract between WWE and the creator of the 'Yes Movement' will expire in September 2019.
