Wilder vs. Ortiz results, updates

Deontay Wilder defeats Luis Ortiz via TKO

11:27 p.m. END OF FIGHT: Wilder knocks Ortiz to the mat twice in the 10th, the ref stops the fight. Wilder was on dream street for a while.

11:18 p.m. Round 9 to Ortiz (10-9, 6-3 Ortiz): Wilder looks like he may have hurt Ortiz late in the round, but Ortiz won the first 2 1/2 minutes. Wilder looks like he's recovering, but Ortiz stalking him.

11:15 p.m. Round 8 to Ortiz (10-9, 5-3 Ortiz): Wilder is on dream street right now. Ortiz looks like he's tiring. But one or two more shots, and we're going home.

11:11 p.m.: Round 7 to Ortiz (10-9, 4-3 Ortiz): Ortiz absolutely destroyed Wilder at the end of the round. A shock that Wilder is still even in this and that this fight is still happening.

11:07 p.m. Round 6 to Wilder (10-9, 3-3 all): Wilder hit Ortiz with a huge combo — and Ortiz ate it. Didn't bother him. Still, lots of glancing blows. Wilder is throwing some huge haymakers with bad intentions, and obviously, hasn't landed one yet.

11:02 p.m. Round 5 to Wilder (10-8, 3-2 Wilder): Wilder downed Ortiz with a big combo. Really hurt Ortiz, came at him with two right hands. Ortiz was probably winning the round before that happened it.

10:58 p.m. Round 4 to Ortiz (10-9, 3-1 Ortiz): Wilder isn't doing anything. He was a bit more active in this round, but he's still looking for the home run. Ortiz is getting a little closer, but Wilder slips away jut before Ortiz can do serious damage.

10:54 p.m. Round 3 to Ortiz (10-9, 2-1 Ortiz): Ortiz is staying busier. Wilder is looking for the haymaker over the top for the knockout. Ortiz is trying to make Wilder fight, but Wilder isn't having any of it.

10:50 p.m. Round 2 to Wilder (10-9, 1-1 all): Wilder is very cautious, throwing from the outside and looking for the home run. Ortiz is trying to box, but Wilder keeps backing up, and backing up.

10:46 p.m. Round 1 to Ortiz (10-9, 1-0 Ortiz): Both guys finding the range on their punches, but Ortiz was busier and used the jab. Not much happening in the first round, though.

10:35 p.m.: Wilder and Ortiz are both in the ring. Waiting for introductions.

10:31 p.m.: Just about ready for the main event here. Waiting for the ring walk.

10:29 p.m.: They're currently filming scenes for "Creed 2" right now. So basically, I'll be a huge movie star in a few years.

10:20 p.m.: And now we wait for the main event.

10:12 p.m.: Uzcategui really just put a hurting on Dirrell. Stopped in Round 9.

Jose Uzcategui defeats Andre Dirrell via TKO

10:08 p.m.: End fight. Andre Dirrell's corner wouldn't let him come out for the eighth round. He was taking too much punishment. Too much.

10:06 p.m.: Uzcategui going for the KO.

10:03 p.m.: Better round for Dirrell. Uzcategui is slowing down a bit, less active. Not landing the right as much, also not throwing it as much.

9:58 p.m.: Dirrell was landing some more jabs but it didn't do much. Kept Uzcategui at bay, but wasn't enough. Landed a big combo in the middle of the round but it didn't seem to hurt Uzcategui at all.

9:55 p.m.: Dirrell is less and less active. Looks like Uzcategui's to lose. Landed a few more stiff shots in the round.

9:53 p.m.: Uzcategui is landing the right hand all day. Straight right after straight right. Dirrell has no answer.

9:45 p.m.: Another round for Uzcategui. Looks like Dirrell was hurt right at the bell. Took a stiff shot to the body.

9:43 p.m.: Uzcategui strung together some nice combos in the second. He's also dancing and bouncing around during the intermission. Seems to be having a good time.

9:39 p.m.: Pretty even first round between Dirrell and Uzcategui. Could go either way.

9:30 p.m.: What a weird, weird start to this. Anyway, we're off on the main card.

9:24 p.m.:

7:20 p.m.: Alicia Napoleon captures her first world championship by decision.

7:15 p.m.: Heading into the 10th round and it seems like this is Napoleon's fight to lose. She's put together some really good rounds, but Hermans is very resilient.

7:00 p.m.: Napoleon and Hermans in a good fight, Napoleon sticking hermans but Hermans is very resilient. Through six rounds of a scheduled 10.

6:45 p.m.: Femke Hermans vs. the highly touted, 8-1 Alicia Napoleon up next.

6:22 p.m.: Fight ends after the sixth. Johnson's corner and the referee saw enough.

6:18 p.m.: Johnson ate a massive right hand in the fifth. Hobbled him, but into the sixth we go. Ref is getting closer to stepping in and ending this.

6:07 p.m.: Derevyanchenko is putting it on Johnson through three rounds. Johnson is eating some big shots, and Derevyanchenko has KO power.
