Superfly 2 Card Sparks Roman Gonzalez's Ambition
The Superfly 2 card has awakened in Roman Gonzalez the ambition of yesteryear, that desire to be the best and dominate his era. Being the star is tiring, but not being one is boring. He watched each of the fights in his room, analyzed the opponents who move in the same spectrum, and his final conclusion was: "I can definitely return to the top of the flyweight division."

Accelerating the intensity in training, Chocolatito is already thinking big: "To be honest, I would like to face Rungvisai in a third fight or contend for a title against Donnie Nietes, but everything in due time. I looked at both, I didn't see much from the Thai and Nietes won with great authority, although Juan Carlos Reveco is already getting old, he is a skilled fighter," said the four-time champion.
Little by little, the extra pounds are disappearing, he already looks better physically and in part it is because Gonzalez weighs 135 pounds. However, before going to the training camp in Costa Rica, he wants to be at 128 pounds, scheduled for the first weeks of March ahead of the May 5th fight, although it is not yet official, all signs point to that date for Chocolatito's return.

"I don't want to rush things. After May 5th, if I feel comfortable, I could consider offers for important fights, otherwise I wouldn't be in a hurry to wait and have another 10-round fight to continue gaining confidence," he explained.
Nietes has spent his entire boxing life fighting in his native Philippines, with the occasional outing to Mexico. He made his debut in the United States at the age of 34, but he has had an impeccable career: 14 years without a loss, in fact, his only defeat was in his early days against Angky Angkotta by split decision. He has achieved 41 victories and four draws, with 23 of his wins by knockout.
On the other hand, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai has proven to be the same fighter, not dazzling with his style, but dangerous with his punching power. Last Saturday showed that Roman was the different one on that painful September 9th in Carson.
