Toronto 2015 continues for Peruvian athletes
In the Canadian city, the Parapan American Games are being held, and Peru has 16 representatives.
Today, the wheelchair basketball team, Pedro Pablo de Vinatea in swimming, and Carlos Felipa in long jump competed.
In basketball, the national women's team played their second game with a great victory. They defeated El Salvador 54-25 and tomorrow they will seek to qualify for the next round when they face Argentina.
Pedro Pablo de Vinatea, the Peruvian flag bearer, competed in the 50-meter freestyle S9 and finished in seventh place in the preliminary round. De Vinatea achieved a time of 29.28 seconds.
Meanwhile, Carlos Felipa competed in the T42 long jump and finished seventh in the final with a jump of 4.25 meters.
