A Left Hook in the Fifth Round Ended the Hopes of Mexican César Juárez to Become World Champion

The match, which was for the vacant super bantamweight championship of the World Boxing Organization, took place at the Bukom stadium in Accra, in front of hundreds of fans who came to see how the local idol dismantled the Mexican with power and well-executed combinations.

From the very beginning, Juárez had trouble dealing with the local's punches. With aggression, Dogboe was able to land his punches more effectively and his power made an impact right from the start.

Overwhelmed by the amount of punches from the local fighter, César closed his guard and tried to weather the storm of punches. However, a left hook in the second round put him down on the canvas. Although he got up to continue the fight, he couldn't adapt to the strategy.

In the third and fourth rounds, Dogboe's punches had a much stronger effect. Every time he threw a powerful left hook, Juárez would retreat, hurt and without a response that would make the local fighter show some respect for his punches, even though he had him against the ropes on numerous occasions.

The outcome came in the fifth round, where the Mexican landed a couple of punches that made Dogboe step back. But in a transition, the Ghanaian instinctively threw a left hook that had the desired effect. The experienced Mexican fighter fell on his back in the ring with a lost gaze, inviting the referee to stop the fight when there was more than a minute left on the clock.

With this defeat, César Juárez added his sixth professional loss, the second in an international fight, leaving a record of 20-6, 15 KOs. Meanwhile, the local fighter improved his record to 18-0, 12 KOs.
