Jordi Alba won’t play in next weeks Eruopean Super Cup game against Sevilla in Tiblisi. The news was confirmed by Barça coach, Luis Enrique in the post-match press conference following Barça’s 3-0 win over AS Roma in the Trofeo Joan Gamper. The player was forced to leave the field of play in the 75th minute with a tweak in his hamstring muscle and will be out of action for anything between 10 to 15 days.
The injury occurred as Roma attacked, Jordi Alba pulled up and immediately signaled to the bench to make a change clutching his right hamstring. Halilovic took the place of the injured player, who had just been on the pitch for 30 minutes as he took over from Belgian defender Verrmaelen after the half-time interval.
