The Real Zaragoza achieved its first victory of the preseason yesterday thanks to a lone goal from Ortuño in the final moments. The forward took advantage of a mistake in Dmitrovic's clearance and avenged his teammate Pedro, who saw how the goalkeeper of Alcorcón saved a penalty just before halftime. The Madrid team also had their chances, but neither Mayor nor David Rodríguez were accurate against Alcolea.
The Real Zaragoza came out determined to give a better image than in previous matches and at times succeeded, especially when Pedro, Aria, and Ángel were combining. The three were the protagonists of the first chance of the game in the fourth minute: Pedro sent a long pass to Aria, who put in a good cross, Ángel grazed the header and Pedro himself, quite forced and from the ground, shot wide.
Alcorcón reacted quickly and Mayor failed to take advantage of a good through pass from Plano, hitting the ball into Alcolea. A few minutes later, Pastrana, Alcorcón's best player yesterday, hit the post with a good free kick. After ten minutes in which the pace of the game dropped, Zaragoza returned to the attack with a low shot from Ángel and a header from Cabrera that found Dmitrovic. In between, David Rodríguez headed high when he had everything in his favor to open the scoring.
With less than five minutes left until half time, Bellvís committed a foolish penalty on Pedro, who took responsibility for taking it and saw how Dmitrovic, the true protagonist of the match, guessed his intention and saved the shot.
After the restart, Alcorcón took control of the game and David Rodríguez missed again after a great chest control. Zaragoza tried to counterattack and Ortuño took too long to pass to Ángel when he was alone in the penalty area. The Canarian forward always looked for the back of the defense to take advantage of the good passes from Pedro, Aria, who time and time again played with the first touch, and... Dmitrovic. The Alcorcón goalkeeper gifted Ángel two chances with two poor goal kicks that were not goals thanks to his defense, which could do nothing about his third error.
