Thierry Henry is a legend at Arsenal and today he works as a sports commentator on English television. In this role, he predicted what the upcoming season in the Premier League will be like and surprised everyone by stating that Alexis Sánchez is set to become one of the best football players of the year.
"I believe that the player of the season will be Alexis Sánchez. I'm saying this because he has already had an incredible season," said Henry.
The former French star even went further and stated that the Gunners have serious chances of winning the league title, after more than a decade without achieving it.
"If Arsenal wants to win the league, (Sánchez) has to have that kind of season, and I believe he can achieve it," said the former world champion with France in 1998.
The Chilean only joined Arsenal's training last Monday, after finishing his vacation in northern Chile. He was not present in the final of the Community Shield of England, which the Gunners won by defeating Chelsea, and he will also miss the first game of the Premier League against West Ham United this Sunday.
