Ángel Di María to travel from Doha to Paris today

The Argentine international Ángel Di María will travel from Doha to Paris today, where PSG is expected to officially confirm the transfer of the midfielder from Manchester United to the French capital club for €63 million.

"El Fideo", who has already undergone the mandatory medical examination in Qatar, will become the second most expensive signing in the history of French football.

He will be surpassed only by the €64 million that PSG paid to Napoli in 2013 for the Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, Di María's partner in the attacking trio of the French champions alongside the Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Argentine winger is expected to play on the right flank for PSG, where neither his compatriots Ezequiel Lavezzi and Javier Pastore nor the Brazilian Lucas Moura have been successful in recent seasons.

Di María, 27, will sign a 4-year contract with PSG, with a salary of around €10 million per season, according to "Le Parisien" newspaper.

Ángel Di María stated today that he is happy to sign for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), pending the official announcement of his transfer from Manchester United.

"I am very happy to join PSG," said the Argentine winger, 27, in an interview with the television channel "BeIN Sports", owned by the same Qatari owners as the Parisian club.

"I also know that I want to help them get past the quarter-finals in the Champions League. I will try to give my best abilities to the team," added the Argentine in reference to the highest level that PSG has reached in the continental competition.
