The Repsol Honda team arrives in Indianapolis
The Repsol Honda team arrives in Indianapolis thinking about continuing the five consecutive years of reign in the North American circuit, as it has been only motorcycles of this brand that have occupied the top step of the podium since 2010. Dani Pedrosa was the first to take the victory, in 2011 it was Casey Stoner, and Marc Márquez did it in the last two years.
After achieving a double victory in Sachsenring, the Honda riders dedicated a few days of their vacation to ride in Misano, some tests to draw conclusions for the second half of the championship and to test for the first time the motorcycles with which they will fight in the 2016 season. After all this work, both Dani and Marc started a few days of rest to recharge their batteries and face with strength the nine upcoming races that will decide the end of the championship.
"It's been good to have a few days off to recover and recharge the batteries for the second half of the season. When we finished the tests in Misano, I went to Ibiza for a week with some friends and it was fantastic, I really needed it!" says Marc. Dani, on the other hand, chose the Alps to rest: "I spent a few days at Lake Geneva with some friends, disconnected from everything. Although I relaxed, I also continued with the recovery of my arm."
Now it's time to get back to work. Every time Márquez touches American soil, he wins, he has achieved it eight times in a row and as he says: "I love riding on American ground and I appreciate the enthusiasm of all the fans. I like the Indy circuit, although this year it could be complicated with the changes in the asphalt." Dani agrees with his teammate on the problems that the new track surface can bring, but he assures that his intention is to fight for victory again.
