Frederic Kanouté returns to Sevilla

Frederic Kanouté returns to Sevilla, this time as a coach in the lower categories to complete his training as a technician: "There was no better place to do them than Sevilla. I know the quality of Sevilla's training, it's like my home, I feel very good here, so I thought it was the best place to do my internship. Being in the youth team is very interesting," he said to the club's official media.

Kanouté started his training in England and it is completed with these internships: "Although I have no obligation to be a coach, it is to train myself and understand football from another perspective. I'm here to learn and the truth is that I don't realize much of the excitement that it can awaken, but they have shown me a lot of love and respect since I arrived and it is an honor and a pleasure."

Kanouté already won a Supercup of Europe against Barcelona in 2006: "The key was in the preparation. It wasn't a coincidence to win, we arrived with a very good preparation, with a lot of enthusiasm and we surpassed them. Barcelona is a bit above Sevilla but it's a match, a final, and anything can happen. When we did it, there were also people who did not believe that we would win, and we did."

Kanouté also experienced the Champions: "To fall that year was a great disappointment. We have to learn from that and I hope Sevilla does very well this year. They still have the same philosophy and keep winning titles. That's complicated, but a sign that they are doing things right. Despite not having the same purchasing power as Madrid or Barça, Sevilla is very close and can compete with the biggest."
