Omar Ramos joins CD Leganés

Club Deportivo Leganés has made official what was an open secret: Omar Ramos is a new blue and white player. The Tenerife-born player arrives after terminating his contract with Valladolid and signing for one season. At 27 years old, Omar brings extensive experience, both in the Second and First Division, and becomes the eleventh signing of the pepinero team.

A player who had been negotiating with the blue and whites for some time and who is liked for his speed, good ball control, and versatility, as he can play on either side and even behind the striker. He made his debut in the Second Division at the age of 18 with Tenerife, the club where he developed. After being loaned to Lleida, he made his debut in the First Division at the age of 21 with the Chicharrero team, even becoming a U-21 international. After his time on the island, he played for Almería and Huesca, both in the Second Division. In the 2011-12 season, he signed for Valladolid and returned to the top category. After the relegation of Valladolid, Omar continued to be important. Last season, he was one of Rubí's key players, playing 38 games.

The player is already under Asier Garitano's orders and will be presented at 12:30 pm on Thursday in Butarque. However, his debut could come on Wednesday in the XXXVII Villa de Leganés Tournament, which will be played at the pepinero stadium starting at 8:30 pm against Rayo Vallecano.
