Ernesto Valverde Announces Squad for Europa League Match against Inter de Bakú

The coach of Athletic Club, Ernesto Valverde, has announced the list of 21 players who will play the second leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa League against Inter de Bakú. The list highlights the injuries of midfielder Ander Iturraspe and striker Kike Sola, with the inclusion of Guillermo Fernández.

Iturraspe has a mild to moderate muscular injury in the rectus femoris of his right leg, as reported by Athletic on their website a few days ago. Meanwhile, Kike Sola has a bone bruise in the tarsal scaphoid of his left foot and is still under evaluation.

These absences join those of Iker Muniain and Jonas Ramalho, who are still recovering from their surgeries, and Iñaki Williams. The forward is progressing positively and has started doing continuous running in recent days, although he is not yet ready to play in the European match.
