The return home
Ramón Fernández returns to O'Higgins on loan and leaves Universidad de Chile after two and a half years, in which he never convinced the fans and was always questioned for his irregular performances.
"The club reached a contractual agreement with the midfielder. O'Higgins announces the signing of Argentine midfielder Ramón Ignacio Fernández," states the statement from the celeste team.
30-year-old Fernández arrived in Chile at Unión La Calera and in 2012 signed with O'Higgins, where he had a great performance that caught the interest of several important clubs. Finally, Universidad de Chile acquired his services in December 2012.
In his two and a half years with the blues, Fernández won a title, the Apertura 2014, in which he started playing more minutes, but as the tournament progressed, he lost prominence.
Now he returns to O'Higgins to take charge of the celeste team, which is doing preseason training in La Gamboina.
