The final will be held on Wednesday, where all participants will accumulate today's scores to perform two more jumps that will determine the medals. Leading the pack is British diver Gary Hunt (381.80), winner of the Red Bull World Series in the last two years.

Gimeno started off a bit nervous and made a mistake on the first jump. The Canary Islander received the lowest score among participants, only 62.70 points. However, he managed to recover in the following two jumps and climb up the rankings. If Gimeno had maintained the level of his last two jumps, he could have made it into the top ten. He mentioned that he arrived prepared and confident to achieve this feat after two months of intense training in Belgium.

The stands located on the Kazanka River, next to the Kremlin in the capital of Tatarstan, were filled to witness one of the most spectacular sporting events. Some passersby searched for a spot among the bushes and security barriers to take out their cameras and capture the moment. The falls from 27 meters, at 80 kilometers per hour, also caused panic among the spectators when the divers took risks and didn't make a clean entry into the water, as happened to Russian diver Shchurov.

Current world champion Orlando Duque finished the first phase in a discreet eleventh position. At 41 years old, the Colombian is a pioneer and an institution in this extreme discipline, although he is far from the podium in these World Championships. The second place is held by American diver David Culturi (359.10) and in third place is Mexican diver Jonathan Paredes (350.40).
